Website builders that let you edit by chatting
Published 2 November 2026The short answer
Orivox and Wix both let you change a published site by asking in plain language, and Hostinger lists an Agentic mode in its AI Builder. Orivox offers chat editing alongside a visual editor; Wix offers its Aria agent alongside drag and drop. On Orivox each AI generation or edit uses monthly credits, so check the allowance.
We make Orivox, so treat this as the publisher's view. Every figure for another company comes from that company's own pricing page, read on 2 November 2026; prices change and vary by country, so check before you buy.
What chat editing is
Instead of finding the right menu, you type what you want: 'change the phone number', 'add a pricing section', 'make the buttons green'. The builder makes the change and shows you the result. It is the fastest way to make a small change, and for someone who finds design software intimidating it is the difference between updating a site and leaving it stale.
Who offers it
| Builder | What its own pages say |
|---|---|
| Orivox | Websites are editable by chatting, with a visual editor alongside. |
| Wix | You can customise with Aria, its built-in AI agent, or switch to drag-and-drop editing. |
| Hostinger | Plans include two AI Builder modes, Manual and Agentic. |

What it costs in credits
AI edits are not free of limits. Orivox's plans state that credits are 'used for AI generation and edits' and reset each billing cycle. Its free plan includes 5 credits a month plus 15 on signup; Single Site includes 40 a month and 5 Sites includes 100. That is plenty for a site you update occasionally and tight for a site you rebuild repeatedly.
Where chat editing falls short
- Precise visual tweaks, such as moving an element five pixels, are often quicker by hand.
- Vague requests give vague results. 'Make it better' will not do what 'shorten the headline and make the button orange' does.
- You still need to read the result. A builder can change something you did not intend.
A visual editor next to the chat is therefore worth having, which is why both Orivox and Wix offer one.
Common questions
Can I edit a site by chatting after it is published?
On Orivox you can keep changing the site and publish again. Each change uses credits from your monthly allowance.
Do I need to know how to describe design changes?
No. Plain requests such as 'make the text bigger' or 'add a contact section' work. Being specific helps.
Is chat editing available on free plans?
On Orivox, yes, within the free plan's small monthly credit allowance.
Describe your business in a sentence or two and Orivox builds the first draft of your website. The free plan needs no credit card.
